Boccia Tatra Cup 2026
10th year of the open international boccia tournament
The anniversary year of THE INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT OF INDIVIDUALS, PAIRS AND TEAMS IN THE PARALYMPIC SPORT OF BOCCIA, the first and still the only international boccia tournament in Slovakia – the friendly tournament with tradition, the good name and quality cast with players, open to all boccia players with a national classification (BC1, BC2, BC3, BC4, BC5) regardless of their performance level
+ 3rd year of THE INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT OF 3-MEMBER INTEGRATION BOCCIA TEAMS, which is open to all boccia players without sports classification – historically the first and only international tournament in integration boccia in the region
+ ACCOMPANYING PROGRAM focused on supporting the boccia development, social inclusion and active relaxation of participants

Individual, pair and team tournament in Paralympic sport of boccia / conditions
The international tournament for classified boccia players of all performance levels
COMPETITION CATEGORIES:
Individuals: BC1, BC2, BC3, BC4/5 (without gender difference)
Pairs: BC3, BC4/5
Teams: BC1/2
Participation conditions:
Players with national or even international classification – categories BC1, BC2, BC3, BC4, BC5.
Possibility to assemble a Pair/Team regardless of the club or national affiliation and gender of the players.
In case of high interest, the organizer may set a max. number of players in the relevant category for 1 country.
Registration of players: until April 30, 2026 (more information in the PARTICIPANT REGISTRATION tab)
3-member integration teams boccia tournament / conditions
The international tournament of 3-member Integration teams regardless of the gender of the team members
Competition system:
Standard rules for teams competition, players without wheelchairs compete from a chair.
Participation conditions:
Players with some disability without sports classification and without conditions to use a wheelchair, seniors, anyone from the entourage and support teams of the present classified players.
Possibility of 1 substitute.
In case of high interest, the organizer may set a maximum number of teams representing 1 country.
Registration of players: until April 30, 2026 (more information in the PARTICIPANT REGISTRATION tab)
Sports hall, playing surface, awards
Sports hall is part of the Alexandra Wellness Hotel*** complex.
The hall is wheelchair accessible, with one shared barrier-free toilet, one shared barrier-free dressing room with shower and toilet.
Hall capacity: 7 playing courts
Playing surface: laminate floor
Awards: medals, trophies, diplomas, small in-kind prizes
Accompanying program / International workshop for boccia coaches
Date: Wednesday June 17, 2026 (from 9:00 a.m.)
Location: Alexandra Wellness Hotel***, Liptovský Ján, Slovakia
Contents:
• effective training methods – theoretical part and practical training in the sports hall (guided by methodologies),
• discussion on the topic of proven methods in boccia training,
• mutual exchange of experiences,
• team preparation of ideas and scripts for filming a series of videomanuals to support boccia trainings
Conditions of participation:
boccia coaches (national, club), potential boccia coaches, player support staff…
max. 5 participants from 1 country

Accompanying program / Workshops with stars
Professionally led sports meetings and joint boccia trainings, 4 x 2 hours
Date and location: June 18. – 21, 2026 (Thursday – Sunday) in the evening or early evening (after the end of the daily tournament program) directly in the sports hall
Contents: joint practice of throws and game tactics, individuals, pairs and teams training matches, advice in the field of player sports equipment, individual mentorin, exchange of experience
LECTURERS – successful former and active Paralympians:
Samuel Andrejčík / SVK – former BC4 player, long-time SVK representative and holder of a total of 4 Paralympic medals (BC4 Individuals: 1 x silver, 1 x gold, BC4 Pairs: 2 x gold) / now chairman and technical delegate of ŠTK at SZTPŠ and technical delegate of WorldBoccia
Michaela Balcová / SVK – former BC4 player, long-time SVK representative and holder of 2 Paralympic gold medals in the BC4 Pairs category / now coach of the SVK junior national team
Radek Procházka / CZE – active BC4 player, long-time successful representative of the CZE and holder of the Paralympic silver medal in the BC4 Pairs category
Conditions of participation:
Registered participants of the Boccia Tatra Cup 2026 event (classified and unclassified boccia players, club coaches, sports assistants, staff) – registration directly in the sports hall according to individual interest in the program of the day.

ACCOMMODATION
The hotel has an entrance via a fixed access ramp, two elevators, one shared barrier-free toilet, one shared barrier-free dressing room with shower and toilet. Several larger rooms and suites are also available, but the width of the bathroom and toilet door frames is only 60 cm.
Participants who will be accommodated directly at the Alexandra Wellness Hotel*** have FREE ANTRY to fitness, wellness and swimming pool (as well as the sports hall, they are located directly in the hotel).
MEALS
accommodated participants: breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Alexandra Wellness Hotel restaurant*** (breakfast and dinner – buffet, uniform lunch)

A) OBLIGATORY STARTING FEE: 80 € / 1 person
Only foreign players starting at the international tournament in Paralympic boccia are paying.
SVK players and players of integration boccia do not pay the starting fee.
B) FEE FOR ACCOMMODATION AND MEALS / OPTIONAL: 480 € / 1 person
The price includes 6 x accommodation with all-day meals (breakfast and dinner – buffet, uniform lunch) from Wednesday June 17, 2026 (dinner) to Tuesday June 23, 2026 (breakfast) in Alexandra Wellness Hotel***, Liptovský Ján
In the case of individual accommodation, it is possible to order joint lunchs at the venue of the event (Alexandra Wellness Hotel*** Restaurant) at the price of € 8/1 person per day.
